Born in the Sta. Cruz District of Manila, Rev. Fr. Nelson Flores finished his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism degree at the Dominican run University of Santo Tomas and earned Doctorate in Law at the Order of Missionaries’ Adamson University. He is an ordained priest of the Philippine Independent Catholic Church.
Rev. Flores was a former reporter of the Philippine Daily Inquirer, radio broadcaster Radio Mindanao Netwrok’s dzXL and Rajah Broadcasting Corporation’s dzRJ and former Associate Editor of the Houston based Fil-Am Press. Currently he has a column (Usaping Bayan) in Hataw, a popular tabloid newspaper in Metro Manila and publisher/producer of Beyond Deadlines. He is also a certified Filipino-English-Filipino interpreter.
Rev. Flores is now serving his second term as member of the Board of Directors of the Philippine-American Chamber of Commerce-Greater Houston Area.
