The PACC North Texas was incorporated in June of 1994; its name was changed to PACC Texas in May of 2008 to expand the membership throughout the state of Texas. Former members of PACC Houston joined forces with PACC North Texas members to create a stronger organization. On June 12, 2015, its third region, the PACC Texas Rio Grande Valley Chapter, joined the State Chamber. On November 2, 2017, its fourth region, the PACC Texas San Antonio Chapter, joined the State Chamber. The following are the major purposes:
To inspire the spirit of enterprise among Filipinos, Filipino-Americans and our American Friends, while promoting the growth of business, services and the professions in our communities.
To promote trade, investments, tourism and other economic relations and activities between the Philippines and the United States, specially in the state of Texas and to promote goodwill and understanding in such relations and activities.
To provide forum for discussion of vital issues affecting Philippine-American Trade and economic matters.
Member Service: Our members will have access to unique networking and promotional opportunities, educational programs, business services and special events – all designed to help their business succeed. The Chamber works hard to provide our members with resources, advocacy and information, along with networking and marketing opportunities. There are many free benefits of being a member of the Chamber including mixers, and television appearances.
Economic Development: Our economic development activities will feature the Chamber as an active partner in business attraction, business retention and expansion, transportation, redevelopment, workforce development, and recruitment and retention of talent.
Advocacy: The Chamber will be the voice of business and the guardians of the business climate. We will advocate on issues that affect the business environment and work to ensure Texas remains an ideal state in which to live, to learn, to play and to do business.
Community Service: The Chamber will take a lead in shaping the ideals of a prosperous and community vision – stimulating dialogue, building a balanced community with an equal emphasis on quality of life and quality of business.
ARE WE A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION?
Yes, we are a 501(c)(6) organization and not a 501(c)(3) organization. Both are exempt from federal income tax, and sometimes state and local tax. What is the difference? Simply put, unlike a 501(c)(3), donors to the 501(c)(6) cannot take a charitable deduction on their tax returns for their donations. They may be able to write off their donations as a business-related expense instead. Please contact a tax professional for further details. How do I join? Join Today at www.pacctexas.org
