What is PACC-TX?

The Philippine American Chamber of Commerce Texas, a 501(c)(6) company hosts the US Trade Missions to the Philippines, the monthly Speaker Series and the award-winning Consular Outreach programs in Dallas, Houston and McAllen, Texas. The chamber mission is to inspire the spirit of entrepreneurship among Filipinos, Filipino-Americans, and their friends to promote the growth of business and professions and to be of service to the community.

Are we a non-profit organization?

Yes, we are a 501(c)(6) organization and not a 501(c)(3) organization. Both are exempt from federal income tax, and sometimes state and local tax.

 

What is the difference?

Simply put, unlike a 501(c)(3), donors to the 501(c)(6) cannot take a charitable deduction on their tax returns for their donations. They may be able to write off their donations as a business related expense instead. Please contact a tax professional for further details.

What is the Philippine Consular Outreach?

The Philippine Consular Outreach program is a public service mission of the Philippine-American Chamber of Commerce of Texas (PACC-TX).

This public service saves each applicant the high cost of traveling to Los Angeles, CA. to renew passports, apply for dual citizenship and other consular services being offered during the outreach.
All workers are non-paid volunteers who sacrifice their time and resources to help facilitate this process. The chamber, with the assistance from the business expo vendors, and donors pays for the costs of the venue and other operating expenses.
The Philippine-American Chamber of Commerce of Texas has been voted “Most Outstanding Fil-Am Organization in the U.S. for Community Service, Trade Promotion and Aid to the Philippines.”

How do I apply for consular services?

The Philippine-American Chamber of Commerce of Texas coordinates with the Philippine Consulate General of Los Angeles for the yearly schedule. We have been hosting the consulate to provide consular services for over 10 years. To apply, you will need to visit the Philippine Consulate General of Los Angeles’ website for consulate services as well as outreach dates.
