What is PACC-TX?
The Philippine American Chamber of Commerce Texas, a 501(c)(6) company hosts the US Trade Missions to the Philippines, the monthly Speaker Series and the award-winning Consular Outreach programs in Dallas, Houston and McAllen, Texas. The chamber mission is to inspire the spirit of entrepreneurship among Filipinos, Filipino-Americans, and their friends to promote the growth of business and professions and to be of service to the community.

Are we a non-profit organization?
Yes, we are a 501(c)(6) organization and not a 501(c)(3) organization. Both are exempt from federal income tax, and sometimes state and local tax.
What is the difference?
Simply put, unlike a 501(c)(3), donors to the 501(c)(6) cannot take a charitable deduction on their tax returns for their donations. They may be able to write off their donations as a business related expense instead. Please contact a tax professional for further details.
